Former Miss Universe 2001, Denise Quiñones, is once again embracing her entrepreneurial side with the launch of her new fragrance.

Embracing Her Caribbean Roots

Denise Quiñones, actress and former beauty queen, is thrilled with the outcome of her third perfume, Caribe, which captures floral and fruity aromas with the intention of delivering a tropical scent. Caribbean, which captures floral and fruity aromas with the intention of offering a tropical aroma.

"I'm Caribbean. I'm a person who loves the beach. The feeling I get when I'm at the beach is something very beautiful. It fills me with energy. It fills me with good things. I love it. I am of the sea," Denise stated during a video conference from the Condado Ocean Club Hotel, specifically in a room with an ocean view.

The Journey of Creating Fragrances

"Of the three perfumes, I would tell you that this is the one most linked to me," confessed Denise, who is also responsible for Desire: and Sweet love. «It has been an adventure that has been very successful. “I love smells,” she highlighted about her experience working with DH Distributors in the creation of fragrances.

«I was thinking which direction to take because the first, Desire:"It is seductive, more for the night, very sensual," described Miss Universe 2001.

"The second is more romantic, sweeter, a little softer, and perfect for the day," she added.

«For the third, I wanted to do something different, go for more summer smells, I wanted to feel like we were more at the beach.»

Although the launch was planned for before the summer, the pandemic changed those plans.

«We made a small run in May because the idea was to come out during that season and there were certain commitments with some stores to deliver the product. We had a very quiet launch. We simply delivered the product to the stores and almost all of them were sold, without promotion,” he mentioned with a broad smile.

A Different Facet

Embracing a different facet from those for which she is known, Denise sees it as a challenge that she greatly enjoys.

«My first passion is to be in the world of entertainment, which is acting, music. This has been a learning process. I've been dealing with fragrances for about three years and it's something else. But I enjoy it a lot," he said. «We enjoy the creative process, which is what I naturally like, I am passionate about it. "I like the process of not having anything, to suddenly having a product that is very yours, that you had visualized in your mind what you wanted to achieve, and suddenly seeing it in the bottle, made real, seeing it physically," she explained.

Concerns about Violence

Aside from the excitement of showing off her new fragrance, Denise expressed her thoughts on the issue of femicides in Puerto Rico when asked about it.

"I think it's a very complex problem," he said with concern. "Unfortunately, I think it's a problem we've had over the decades."

The director of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant analyzed that it is a reality that must be addressed from various areas.

"To treat it effectively, it has to come from many sides," he said. "From the side of education, from the side of social protection, social security, even from the side of mental health."

Denise invited everyone to be much more cautious regarding personal safety.

«My message, in this case to women specifically, is that we are at a stage in which we have to take great care of ourselves, be very aware even of our environment. When we go out, be alert."

She believes that education plays a crucial role in the effort to combat gender violence, especially in instilling respect for life.

"It is too essential, extremely," he emphasized, as well as "seeking God."

Denise Quiñones' journey into the world of fragrance is a testament to her versatility and passion. From her Caribbean roots to her concerns about social issues, she continues to make an impact both in and out of the spotlight.
